As the first event of it's kind, we feel that Brisbane's first mobile app hackathon was a real success. We received great feedback from the participants and know they really enjoyed the experience and appreciated the mentor-ship and contribution from our panel of judges.

We had participants from a really wide range of backgrounds including  high school students, MBA's, engineers and developers across both iOS and Android. Ages ranged from 16 to 60 and one of our teams even drove down from the sunshine coast for the day which was fantastic to see.

It's was a fun day that showcased the incredible skill, creativity and teamwork of our community. 

 

As organisers we also learned a huge amount about what it takes to run an event like this and have some great ideas on how we are going to make this years event even better.
